History
The District is a political subdivision of the State of Texas created by the Texas Water Commission, predecessor to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (the “Commission”) on June 28, 1978. The District contains approximately 553 acres of land. The District operates pursuant to Chapters 49 and 54, Texas Water Code, as amended.
The District is located in Fort Bend County, Texas, wholly within the corporate limits of the City of Missouri City, Texas, approximately 17 miles southwest of downtown Houston. The District is intersected by FM 2234 (Texas Parkway) and Cartwright Road and is approximately five (5) miles south of the Wilcrest/Murphy Road exit on U.S. 59.
