The Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 26 will hold a public hearing on a proposed tax rate for the tax year 2023 on September 20, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. at 14730 Fondren Road, Missouri City, TX 77489. Your individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the tax rate that is adopted and on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property. The change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in the taxable value of all other property determines the distribution of the tax burden among all property owners.

Wastewater Collection System Rehabilitation and Repair Project

Fort Bend County MUD No. 26 is starting a construction project to repair and rehabilitate the existing wastewater collection system. The work will begin in the next 1-2 weeks and will be ongoing over the next 18 months, the District’s Contractor, DL Glover, Inc. will have crews working in Quail Green, Quail Green West and Quail Green South. Work will include lining of existing sewers, replacement of existing sewer lines with new ones by “pipe bursting”, manhole rehabilitation, and various other work.

Many of the District’s sewer lines and manholes are located in the utility easement along the back property lines of homeowner’s lots. It may be necessary to access the homeowner’s back yard in order to complete the work. The work may take place in a manhole, or may require excavation along the sewer line.

The Contractor will notify residents in advance of work that may affect them, using door hangers and flyers, and the Contractor will be required to return all areas, fences, grass, etc. to original condition.

Most of the work will begin in Quail Green West. Then Quail Green and Quail Green South. A schedule of the work and map will be posted on the District’s website.
